Data Retention

How Long We Keep Data

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Under FSRA regulations and the MBLAA, we are required to maintain certain client records for a minimum period after the completion or termination of the mortgage transaction.

Specifically, mortgage brokerage records must be retained for a minimum of six (6) years from the date of the last transaction, as required under Section 43 of Ontario Regulation 188/08 under the MBLAA. After the retention period expires, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
